"Who the heck are they! They better not be playing any longer than 10 minutes" that was the first thing i thought when i heard that The New Cities were opening for Simple Plan March 14th, in Bromont Quebec. I thought to myself we've driven fourteen and a half hours, only got 3 hours of sleep the night before and have been waiting in this cold Quebec weather since 7:45am, no way do we have to wait for another band to open for Simple Plan.

But when they hit the stage i had a whole new feeling about them! The first thought, hey! their guitar player looks a lot like Steve Nash! (Phoenix Suns PG and 2 time MVP) My second thought these guys are amazing!!! The sound is different, their themselves not trying to be the next U2 or Greenday!

Until that day i have never even heard of this band before, they were never played on our radio stations in Toronto nor did they get much air time anywhere outside of Quebec.

Now the tables have turned no longer am i traveling to see Simple Plan in concert i am traveling hours and hours to see The New Cities! Also i love them even more because they really appreciate their fans, and even after a long day and show, they still take the time to come and say hi sign a few autographs and take some pictures with every single fan that wants to meet them!

I also love about them is that when you recognize them on the street or anything they are always open to saying hey and starting a little small talk! Not only do i love their talent in what they do, but they are supper grounded people just like you and me!

I'm currently working on my "The New Cities" Wall which is a whole wall in my bedroom dedicated to the band i love!

FYI: Very excited to see the guys perform again this summer at a handful of different concerts and festivals! It never gets old and every time is something new and different to experience!
